2005 - Present: Mobile and Telematics Applications

I've been designing various products, services, and concepts for mobile and telematics (in-car) applications, spanning a range of platforms, including iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Brew, J2ME, Webkit QNX HMI front ends, WAP and XHTML, Flash, and others. Most utilize location-based capabilities, using the power of GPS positioning to solve a particular problem. See More >>

2002 - 2005: Music, Media, and Communities of Interest

My work as Art Director at Napster and Design Director at Ruckus Networks spanned from short term delivery of existing products to long-term vision and conceptual model design. Work included design evaluation and audits, user surveys and testing, as well as advanced concepts for discovery and interaction, using shared interests as the vehicle for communication and entertainment. 1999-2002: Business and Finance

As Design Director at myCFO and eTime Capital, I designed numerous web applications for the financial services market. At myCFO, I was able to staff and manage a team of 11 designers, and our group was responsible for design across the organization, including all web applications, corporate web site, marketing materials and collateral, interior furnishing and corporate signage. 1994-1999: The World Wide Web

As an early member of Netscape, I was the initial UI designer in the World Wide Professional Services organization, and designed the first online store for MCI, as well as early web sites and applications for Sportsline, Bank of America, Prudential, Kinkos, FedEx, Kaiser Permanente, Citibank, and many more. I also staffed and managed over 10 UI designers in the DesignCenter, a global design consultancy within Netscape Professional Services. See More (under construction) >>

1991-1994: Operating Systems and Tools

As a member of the Human Factors Engineering group at Sun Microsystems, I worked on a variety of OS tools and systems-oriented design, including UI designs for video collaboration technology, platform user interface design for an enhanced Motif, OpenLook2, and Common Desktop Environment, and designed the first Sun Microsystems intranet and external corporate World Wide Web sites (1993), and WorldCupUSA94 Web site. I also co-authored the book “Designing Visual Interfaces: Communication Oriented Techniques” while at Sun. See More (under construction) >>
